Youth – Teens & Tweens

My various youth courses at TSA including Youth Art Studio 923, Drawing for Teenagers, Sketch & Sculpt, Youth Art Summer Program and Mask Making, where students will be introduced to techniques and media in order to develop their own artistic language and expression. This includes drawing/life drawing, painting and drawing from observation and imagination exploring line, shape, texture, perspective and composition as well as preparing surfaces and colour mixing. Collage, assemblage, and 3-dimensional explorations include various materials including paper, wire, wood, found objects and natural elements. We also explore mono printing, creating stamps and designing textures and patterns. The students will be introduced to artists throughout history including contemporary artists in connection with their projects, and will go on field trips to museums and/or galleries to see, discuss and sketch the artwork on site.
